![]() | Lisa Scudieri Team Leader Lisa is our team leader and unless you meet one of our members personally, will probably be your first point of contact with Translators & Co. She is an Italian-to-English translator and specializes in the legal and medical fields, in which she garnered much experience before deciding to take a university language course. During her studies and after graduating, Lisa continued to work in these sectors, later preferring to become a full-time translator, in 2001. Her real speciality is translation and proofreading of Clinical Trial documentation and contracts, but she also offers audio translations and transcriptions for the team using Start Stop Transcription Systems. Lisa was admitted to the Proz.com Certified Proz Network in September 2008 and is keen to raise the profile and reputation of the profession. She takes pride in continuously furthering her studies and has recently taken an interest in the relatively new field of forensic linguistics having had the opportunity to translate the transcripts for many high profile cases. Lisa is originally from Derbyshire but now divides her time between the UK and Italy. Her personal interests include mountain-biking and reading murder mysteries. |
![]() | Angela Arnone Tourism, hospitality, food & drink specialist Angela is originally from the Northeast of England, but now lives on the Abruzzo coast. She has over 25 years of experience as a language specialist, both as an in-house translator-interpreter for two multinationals, and now as freelance linguist. She is a member of both the Chartered Institute of Linguists and the Italian equivalent AITI. A specialist in translation and transcreation for tourism, hospitality, food and drink, fashion and luxury goods, art and art history, Angela has dozens of published translations and is an experienced project manager, editor and terminologist. She is delighted to offer her expertise, which includes interpreting at diplomatic level, to this team [Books and publications Angela has translated]. Angela, like Lisa, enjoys reading thrillers and modern fiction, and keeps her language skills honed by speaking and reading both English and Italian every day. ![]() | Dominic Currie Financial, Commercial & Science Specialist Dominic is based in Piedmont, Italy. Before becoming an Italian-to-English financial, legal and scientific translator, Dominic was an investment banker for 12 years and a research assistant in environmental and conservation economics for a further four. With a Masters Degree in Conservation Biology, Dominic’s pet subjects are clean technology, environmental conservation and sustainable development. He also has a particular interest in the field of intellectual property law. Dominic is keen to work with medium-to-large Italian companies looking to establish or expand their international business or raise venture capital from outside Italy. Dominic's skills and experience in the financial and environmental science sectors make him an asset to the team for projects involving financial, commercial, legal and scientific translation and proofreading. His personal interests include cycling and travel. |
![]() | Lynn Radford Translations, Copywriting, Editing and Proof-Reading Lynn is originally from Staffordshire but, after a three-year spell working in Münster (Germany), she has been living in the Netherlands for the past decade. She translates from German and Dutch into English, and has over 15 years of experience in a range of commercial roles with a strong background in publishing, new media (including internet, SEO and social networking), sales and marketing. Whatever text she is working on, Lynn’s first step is to identify the target reader and then capture what the text is trying to achieve. As well as working as an editor with Translators and Co, Lynn has her own company Englishproof which offers translations as well as copywriting, editing and proof-reading services. Lynn has worked on a wide variety of marketing projects such as websites, corporate brochures and press releases for sectors including FMCG, higher education, tourism and retail/technology, as well as a number of high-end consumer books on topics such as gardening and interior design. In her spare time, Lynn enjoys listening to music and running (often both at the same time) or visiting the local independent cinema. |

![]() | Fjodor Ardizzoia Medical, Scientific & Commercial Specialist Fjodor is based in Milan and works as an English to Italian and French to Italian translator of medical, scientific and commercial texts, specializing in molecular biology, pharmacology, renewable energy and international transport. He has over a decade’s experience in the editorial sector and also contributes his vast project management experience. In his work as a project manager, he has been responsible for translation projects for large companies and public bodies and collaborated with a network of fellow translators both in Italy and abroad. Fjodor has in-depth knowledge of the major Computer Aided Translation tools and DTP software. |
![]() | Marika Salerno Commercial, Tourism & Arts Specialist Marika has recently made the move to Rome from Milan where she worked as a freelance translator as well as project managing for a translation agency. She works from English and French into Italian, specializing in commercial documents, tourism, literature, the cinema and transcreation (creative adaptation and localization). She graduated from the Istituto Superiori per Interpreti e Traduttori in Milan in 2006 and went on to work in various sectors. Her strengths also lie in project and terminology management – she was responsible for compiling several entries for the Larousse/Sansoni French-Italian dictionary – and creativity. Getting to know other cultures and languages is not just a professional interest for Marika, but a way of life. Her other interests include photography and dance. |
![]() | Alessia Puglielli Aeronautical Specialist Alessia is based in Abruzzo, Italy, and has three years of specialist experience as an English-to-Italian translator in the aeronautical sector, translating flight and operating manuals after studying languages and interpreting in Rome. She also works on medical and commercial translations for the team, particularly general medicine, pharmaceutical texts, clinical trial materials, tenders and general business documents. Her pet subject is psychology and she spends her spare time continuing her professional education in this area. Alessia is widely travelled and has spent periods of time in the USA, Australia, Canada and the UK both for business and pleasure. |
![]() | Luigi Corvetti Scientific, Medical and Pharmaceutical, Music and Dramatic arts Specialist Luigi lives in Turin and provides the team with scientific expertise in English to Italian translations. He has a degree in Biology and was awarded a PhD in Neuroscience by the International School SISSA / ISAS, in Trieste in 2003. Following his PhD he worked as a researcher at the University of San Diego (California) and at the University of Turin. During this time he published several scientific papers in international journals and was involved in designing and performing scientific experiments and presenting data to internal, national and international meetings. He specializes in the translation and proofreading of documents in the scientific, medical and pharmaceutical, music and dramatic arts fields. Luigi's hobbies include jazz and participating in amateur dramatics productions. |
